Looking after it

  1. Snap it in properly

    Twist each cartridge until it stops and cannot be pulled free. A half-seated cartridge is the most common cause of leakage.

  2. Clean the seals

    Wipe the bayonet rings when you change cartridges. Grit on the seal lets air bypass the filter.

  3. Store flat

    Keep the facepiece in the supplied bag so the soft seal does not take a set in one position.

Questions about this product

What is the difference from the VQ-RH500?

The facepiece and the protection are the same idea. The RH520 adds quarter-turn cartridge mounts and a drop-down harness, which matters when you swap filters or stop and start all day.

Will other brands of cartridge fit?

No. The bayonet mount is specific to VQ-CA210 cartridges and VQ-FP120 pads.

Can I wear it with safety glasses?

Yes. The low-profile cartridges are designed to leave room for glasses and a face shield.
