A facepiece fails at the seals, not the shell. This kit keeps spares of the parts that harden, warp and warp the fit — so a reusable respirator actually stays reusable.

Flex each valve and gasket. If it has gone stiff or leaves a white crease where it folds, replace it.
Take the mask off by releasing the clips, not by pulling it over your head. Stretched straps are the usual cause of a leaking facepiece.
Let the facepiece air dry fully before it goes in the bag. Damp storage is what grows the smell people blame on the filter.
Inspect the valves and gaskets every month and replace anything stiff, split or deformed. In daily use, expect to change the exhale valves about every three months.
It fits VQ-RH500, VQ-RH520 and VQ-RF900 facepieces. The parts are not interchangeable with other brands.
